ISO 14001 is an environment management system, which identifies and evaluates environmental hazards, related to the activity of an organization, its services and products, and establishes countermeasures to carry out continuous improvements.
In trade, ISO 14001 certification will have a wider affect than national environmental certification because the social responsibility for environmental management has increased for every company. ISO 14001 certification is now a compulsory certification, which must be obtained alongside ISO 9001 certification.
