System Certification
ISO 9001 (Quality management system)
* ISO is the International Organization for Standardization
ISO 9001 certification provides both the purchaser and supplier with the credibility of a quality management system as a result of the objective evaluation by a certification body. Since 1999, when the MLA (Mutual Recognition Arrangement) was implemented, all certificates issued by KR can be accepted in other countries.
The importance of international standards in global trade was recently raised at a launch at the World Trade Organisation. ISO 9001 certification is not optional but compulsory. Each country is adopting ISO 9001 as its own standard and making an effort to spread ISO 9001 certification, through their respective certification bodies.
If companies use ISO 9001 as a tool to enhance quality management, customer satisfaction will increase and both domestic markets and overseas countries will see the benefits.
