KR at IMO
As an advisor to the delegation of the Republic of Korea,
KR has been proactively participating in IMO’s work to establish
and amend various international conventions through meetings of the
Assembly, Council, committees(MSC, MEPC, LEG, TCC, FAL) and
sub-committees(SDC, HTW, PPR, NCSR, SSE, III, CCC).
The classification society has been striving to ensure swift and
accurate application of new international conventions and amendments.
Also, KR has been regularly holding seminars to explain the background of international
conventions to support ship owners, shipyards and relevant organizations in efficiently
applying and implementing regulations.
