We would like
to share the recent PSC trend in Japan, please refer to the followings for
preventing PSC detention.
1) There are
frequent cases where crew members including the captain are not familiar
with
SMS and ship’s equipment to the extent that even the detention of ship is
considered.
2) Exceeding
the seafarer’s employment agreement were found in many recently inspected
vessels.
3) In relation
to the operation means of the rescue boat davit, the crew's understanding of
the operation by Stored Mechanical Power is poor.
4) In the case
of a ship that does not have a method to check the nitrogen filling pressure
in
the accumulator for the operation of the rescue boat davit, PSCO mentioned that
a verification method is necessary.
5) Ship was
found when manual slewing of the rescue boat Davit was operated very slowly.

to the above and try to prevent PSC detentions during the year-end and New Year
season.
