KR has been designated as an inspecting authority for boilers and pressure vessels manufactured in foreign countries which are to be exported to Japan.  

The Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare, in Japan recruited KR as a third party inspecting agency to verify the stability and performance of industrial boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and valves from design review to production.

As the government of Japan has only so far authorized U.S. and European agencies to inspect boilers and pressure vessels manufactured outside of Japan, it is significant that KR has become the first Asian inspection agency.

Mr. Lee Jeong-kie, Chairman and CEO of KR said “obtaining authorization from the Japanese government, which is well known for applying strict standards in registering foreign inspection agencies indicates that KR’s technical competence for inspection and impartiality is highly recognized. We look forward to making an effective contribution to the application and production of boilers and pressure vessels”.

KR was designated as an inspecting authority for Indian boiler regulations in 2014 and

also obtained authorization to inspect packaging for dangerous goods from the Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) of the U.S. in 2016. The society also recently entered the product certification market in China and continues to raise its profile in the global 

certification industry.
