In an annual meeting of foreign classificationsocieties in China, KR was ranked top,
with the lowest PSC detention rate in the classification assessment of Maritime Safety Administration of China.
The meeting is held by the China Maritime Safety Administration every December and is attended by not only management personnel (including the director) of the administration but also representatives of local subsidiaries and head offices of vessel inspection institutions which set up corporations in China to report on their annual business status and to exchange useful information.
In the 2016 meeting, Mr. Li En-Hong, director of dept. of ship supervision, complimen
ted KR for the lowest detention record of 1.85%, as he assessed the PSC detention rates of the survey institutes within China.
In the meeting, KR’s technology was once again acknowledged, as KR delivereda presentation on SRtP (Safe Return to Port of passenger ships) at the request of the China Maritime Safety Administration.
