KR participated in KORMARINE 2021, the shipbuilding and marine industry exhibition, from October 19th to 22nd.
Organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Busan City, the Korea Offshore & Shipbuilding Association, and the Korea Maritime Equipment Association, KORMARINE is one the world's five largest shipbuilding equipment exhibitions, held every other year in the Republic of Korea, and is its 22nd year.
At this exhibition, KR attracted the attention of visitors by presenting eco-friendly, digital technologies and various contents including introduction of eco-friendly technology services and KR GEARs, demonstration of KR-CON v19, the IMO convention database, and VR simulator for on board ship training.
Hyungchul Lee, Chairman & CEO of KR said:
"The shipbuilding and marine industry market is facing a big wave of changes due to strengthened decarbonization regulations and development of digital technologies. Along with this paradigm shift, KR will further expand exchanges with technologies that customers want, such as the decarbonization regulations response program and ship’s cybersecurity certification technology.”
KR also participated in the KORMARINE Conference 2021 held at the BEXCO Convention Hall for three days from October 19th to 21st. Top expert specialists from KR acted as facilitators and speakers to share various technological information about EEXI and CII regulation response, the current status of ship’s greenhouse gas emission regulations (IMO DCS, EU MRV) and the development status of the VR-based simulator for on board ship training.
