Please note that the PSC Trends in the 1st quarter of 2021 has been released, and take preventive measures as deemed appropriate in reference to the report as an initial guidance to avoid PSC detentions and/or deficiencies.

[2] (2021-16) Frequent cases of PSC detention in Japan
Recently, there have been frequent cases of PSC detention in Japan due to extended over maximum period of shipboard service without Flag approval and a lack of familiarization with fire fighting/abandon ship drills(especially, YOKKAICHI area).
Therefore, shipping companies/ships calling in Japan are kindly requested to conduct thorough inspection/response in advance.
