Noting that the number of vessels detained in Gwangyang/Yeosu is recently increasing due to deficiencies related to the following installations and/or equipment, you are kindly asked to thoroughly prepare for PSC inspections in these regions. We do highlight, however, that it needs an overall check on critical PSC items, not limited to the following areas.  
 
1. Life-saving appliances
   . Life boat(Engine starting, Release hook assembly)
   . Rescue boat(Painter release arrangement, Davit)
 
2. Emergency installation
   . Emergency generator

3. Fire safety
   . Fire detection system
   . Incinerator
   . Fire damper
   . Leakage(from machinery or cargo pipe)
   . Local fire-fighting system(E/R, Paint room)
   . FO jacketed pipe

4. ILL
   . Ventilator(condition or operation)

5. Pollution Prevention
   . Sewage treatment plant

6. ISM 
   . Poor SMS implementation
