On December 29, KR granted ISO 45001 certificate, an ISO standard for occupational health and safety management systems, to KOMSA at its headquarters in Sejong.

The certificate presentation ceremony was short, in accordance with the government’s quarantine guidelines, and attended by KOMSA’s Executive Vice President of Administrative Division and the head of the labor union.

KOMSA acknowledges that receiving the certificate is not the end of its safety activities, but the beginning of continuous improvement. The company will continue to provide a safe and happy workplace for its employees through full compliance with the safety and health management system. In addition, KOMSA will continue to work to promote the safety of the public and embed a safety culture across the maritime industry.

Looking ahead, KR’s System Certification Center will work to diversify its revenue streams through the provision of ISO certification to major companies in the maritime industry.
