On 13 January, LEE Hyung-chul, Chairman & CEO of KR, announced the launch of
KR’s directory as a mobile application for customers.
The KR directory app has been developed based on the existing KR directory booklet which is published every year. However, the booklet directory cannot provide the very latest information, as it cannot reflect any changes in real time.
Customers using the new mobile app can now easily search all the contact details for KR employees on their mobile phones in real time, searching via either service network or by employee. It is also equipped with a bookmark function that allows customers to designate frequently used contacts, making the service even more convenient to use.
It is expected that the new app will be particularly helpful in urgent situations, with emergency contacts that can be contacted 24 hours a day displayed on the home screen of the app, in case of a maritime accident.
YOON Boogeun, Executive Vice President of Survey division, said that “This is just the latest move in our drive to deliver digital classification for our customers. KR already provides electronic certificate services and we are now digitizing an even wider range of classification services”.
