On August 12 2020, the KR London branch office issued a Document of Compliance (DOC) to Kenneth MacLeod, Managing Director of SC Shipmanagement, marking the successful completion of the initial ISM (International Safety Management) Company audit.

SC Shipmanagement, a subsidiary of Songa Shipmanagement, is based in Scotland, UK and was established in February 2020.  The company is now managing its first acquisition (on March 31) of five 3,400TEU container ships which are all classed to KR.

This certification is of great significance because it is the first ISM business location certification issued to a UK customer since the KR London branch office was established in 1979, and reflects the exceptional trust and cooperation between Songa Shipmanagement and KR. 

KR’s London office will continue to dedicate itself to providing the highest level of service to Songa Shipmanagement and SC Shipmanagement as well as all its other UK customers.
