Following to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed last year between KR and National Technical University of Athens, KR stepped forward throw MoU signed with University of West Attica. University of West Attica is the Second Higher Education Institute in Greece that offers Naval Engineering studies.

School of Naval Engineering in (UWA) University of West Attica offers a four year program, Bachelor’s degree, with the option to extend to a five year Masters equivalent program. It has been recently upgraded to a University and, therefore, provide more of a technical training. The School of Naval Engineering is currently developing to provide a well-rounded education, and possibly expand their field of study.

Under the agreement, KR will supply UWA students with its award-winning software free of charge, including SeaTrust-HullScan which follows KR’s high standards & KR-CON, a bespoke software database of the International Maritime conventions, together with full training on both software packages.

As the above tools will be widely used by professors, students and researchers of the University, KR is taking the chance to be early introduced to the future manpower of the Greek Shipping industry. It will also enhance good relations in the maritime field between Greece and the Republic of Korea.
