From 14-15 May KR delivered seminars on MLC (Maritime Labour Convention) and joint ship inspections for Jiangsu Taizhou MSA. Mr. Hu Huaqing (Taizhou MSA Deputy Director) and 15 representatives from the organization attended, including Liu Feng (PSC Team Leader), but foreign visitors were unable to join because of COVID-19 restrictions. The training was delivered by KR’ s Nanjing Branch's Ju Jin-je and Heo Kyung-cheol who introduced the overall contents of the MLC agreement and the recently revised MLC requirements. There was also time to present and discuss case studies on related PSC (port state control) points. On 15 May, a joint inspection was conducted by boarding a ship entering Taizhou Port.
MSA thanked KR for the seminar and was keen to explore other topics and to exchange information regularly. KR is particularly grateful to the Convention Review Team for their active support despite the challenging circumstances.
