Subject : 9.130 Notice for Amendment to the KR Technical Rules
              (Guidance Relating to the Rules for the Classification of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units)
Application : Any units contracted for construction after 1 January 2020.

1. As IACS UI MODU3 New, which will be applied on or after 1 January 2020, has been  

   withdrawn, please be informed that amendments have been made to the following KR    

   Technical Rules among the Circular (No. 2019-10-E, 9.128) issued on December 23, 2019.  

   You are kindly requested to apply the amendments on the relevant works according to

   effective date.

   - Guidance Relating to the Rules for the Classification of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units:

     Withdraw the reflection of IACS UI MODU3 (New Dec 2018)

2. Please be informed that the establishment will be included in 2020 edition of the KR  

    Technical Rules which will be published in the first half of 2020.
