Authorization of Service Providers for Maintenance, Thorough Examination, Operational Testing, Overhaul and Repair of Lifeboats and Rescue Boats, Launching Appliances and Release Gear for Liberian flagged ships

The Liberian Administration has issued a Marine Operations Note on 5 December 2019 covering the authorization procedures with regard to the implementation of IMO Resolution MSC 402(96) adopted at 96th session of MSC Committee.
The Note was issued to advise that only Service Providers authorized in accordance with Resolution MSC.402(96) will be authorized to carry out the aforementioned services on Liberian flagged vessels from 1 January 2020.
As a result, we ask our customers, ship owners with Liberian flagged ships, builders and all related stakeholders to pay full attention to the attached instruction and to take action accordingly.
