KR has presented ISO 22301 (business continuity management system) certification to DongHwa Entec, the very first Korean shipbuilding and equipment manufacturer to be awarded the prestigious international standard.

ISO 22301 is an international standard issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2012 and listed as Korea's KS Standard. The certification means that companies have sufficient policies and procedures in place to ensure their business continuity if they should face a crisis such as a massive disaster or severe accident.

Dong-gun Kim, CEO of DongHwa Entec, said: "The ISO 22301 certification is internationally recognized for its comprehensive crisis management system and management continuity," adding that: "We look forward to working with KR to develop more products in the future."

KR’s Certification Center will expand the range of specialized education offered on ISO 22301 certification to strengthen internal and external business competitiveness for customers across the maritime industry.
