1. BACKGROUND
KR has conducted research to accumulate AIS data and utilize big data as part of the class’s digitalization strategy. KR then applies the result of this research to actual services in order to provide more advanced services and to lay the groundwork to stay ahead of other classes in the digitalization sector. KR is working to provide a new service for the KR e-Fleet with AIS Ships Tracking Systems for convenience and enhanced service to customers from 11 November, 2019.

2. KEY FEATURES

· the location of registered ships can be found directly in KR e-Fleet for better fleet management
· the class information (survey and audit report) of registered ships can be identified and examined
· offers real-time visibility of registered ships' operating conditions (speed, ETA, ship specifications)

3. EXPECTED BENEFITS

The new functionality will allow customers to search for their owned vessels, they will be able to view the vessel navigation routes for any international shipping vessel that is registered with KR through KR’s e-fleet, allowing them to check the survey/audit status by port.

In addition, to better support customers fleet management decisions, KR is working to offer various services such as inspection schedule management, PSC preparation and energy management. KR is committed to leading the industry in the application of continuous big data, AI technology research and real service application developing new approaches and innovative practices for the 4th industrial revolution.
