KR has taken part in an industry forum at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Busan from 23-24 September, with the aim of encouraging technology exchange and cooperation on ship efficiency and digitalization.
The vessel performance and digitalization insight forum was hosted by KR, Hyundai Merchant Marine, POS SM, SK shipping, Gimarine Service, Korea Research Institute of Ships&Ocean Engineering and sponsored by KR, KT SAT, JOTUN, TAS GLOBAL, LAB021 and Korea Marine Equipment Institute.
The event focused on the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) environmental regulations to address global warming and developing highly efficienct maintenance technology for vessels. Its objective was to offer the Korea shipping industry an opportunity to accelerate forward.
On the first day, the forum schedule covered:

Tae-bum Ha, executive vice president of R&D Center from KR, said, “This forum was the first time that the shipping industry, class and research institutes, all of whom play an important role, have come together to increase cooperation and collaboration in Korea. I hope it has boosted the sustainable development of the domestic shipping industry.”
