KR held a technical seminar for the Republic of Korea (ROK) Navy in order to enhance the safety of ROK Navy battle ships and submarines.

During the seminar, KR presented its 3D safety diagnostics process which can be applied to enhance the safety of battle ships to the ROK Navy and ROK Navy shared a method of improving the quality of repairs for ROK submarines.

In addition to this regularly held seminar, the two parties have been working closely together for many years to enhance the combat performance of battleships. For example, KR has developed 74 submarine standards and has carried out planned third party verification and inspection services for Korea’s first 3000-ton class submarine.

Using experience gained from commercial vessels, KR’s naval business has been growing fast and now includes foreign navies such as the Peruvian, Indonesian and Royal Thai Navies as customers. Since 2013, the revenue from KR’s naval business has been more than doubled.
