Please be informed that partial amendments have been made to the “Rules and Guidance Relating to the Rules for the Classification of Steel Ships, Pt.1”, as below and you are kindly requested to apply the amendments on the relevant works.

1) To introduce new definition of terminology for Remote Surveys
2) To introduce new requirements of application, type and condition for Remote Surveys
Furthermore, please be informed that the amendments will be included in the 2020 edition of
Rules and Guidance on KR Classification Technical Rules which will be published in the first
half of 2020.

For reference, Remote Survey is limited for Korean flagged ships and BBCHP ships
