[Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) - Enhanced Inspection on Pilot Transfer Arrangements]
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) Republic of Korea, will conduct an enhanced safety inspection into pilot transfer arrangements, with serious concerns being raised over the continued injuries to pilots, while boarding or disembarking from ships.
The attention of ship-owners and operators is required to ensure that the equipment and arrangements for pilot transfer are properly operated and maintained in order to avoid PSC or FSC detentions.
