1. BACKGROUND

KR has developed the SeaTrust-PNAP* S/W, to manage the fixed water CO2 extinguishing system and the pressure relief valve on a liquefied gas carrier. SeaTrust-PNAP* S/W provides a pipe network analysis of the pressure based on the IGC Code 2018 and NFPA. The S/W provides 3D modeling of the piping for user data input convenience and offers an auto reporting function, which means calculation results can be submitted directly to class.

2. KEY FEATURES

· Calculates the pressure of all nozzles in a water-based fire extinguishing system and checks if it meets the minimum required pressure of the IGC Code
· Checks the minimum required release time according to CO2 concentration in CO2-based fire extinguishing systems of IGC Code
· Checks whether the pressure loss of the upstream (from the tank to the PRV) and the downstream (from the PRV to the Vent) of the Liquefied Gas Carrier's Cargo Tank meets the values specified in the IGC Code [Ref. Figure 1]
· Developed and applied calculation algorithms are applicable to various pipe arrangements
· Database management for characteristics of Liquefied Gas, Nozzle and PRV specifications
· Simplifies data input with TEXT extraction function for PDF drawings
· Provides result table (Results of pressure and flow calculation of piping network, Results of Key Inspection Content)
· 3D viewer (showing pipe arrangement and cargo tank 3D shape visibility)
· Generates a result report which is acceptable to class (with optional output function)

3. EXPECTED EFFECTS

· Minimizes data entry errors through intuitive 3D visualization of piping and cargo tank
· Provides accurate piping pressure calculation that meets the class rule and IGC Code, enables accurate piping and design of cargo tank
· Offers simplified verification and approval through auto-generated result report that can be submitted to class and increase productivity
