 [Ulsan Office] Technical seminar for Polaris Shipping         

 
On 13 Dec 2018, KR organised a technical seminar for site managers for Polaris Shipping’s 325K VLOC, held at Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard.

The results of recent drawing approvals and the whole ship structure analysis were shared and discussed by the representatives from both companies.

The seminar offered an excellent opportunity for KR to listen to its clients while broadening mutual understanding and expertise on both sides.

 [KR Asia HQ] Technical seminar on cyber security for Singaporean shipping companies

From 10 Dec to 11 Dec 2018, KR Asia HQ held a technical seminar for Singaporean shipping companies. The topics covered focused on current cyber security issues in the shipping industry and the latest trends in maritime cyber security.

The seminar was well attended and very timely. In 2018, TMSA3, OCMIF, and Rightship enforced higher cyber security regulations for tankers and bulk carriers and the IMO has set 2021 as the deadline to incorporate cyber security risk into ship safety.
