[KR Asia Pacific HQ] Technical seminars for the maritime industry in
Indonesia and Singapore
KR Asia Pacific HQ held a series of technical seminars from 19 - 23 Nov for maritime companies in the Indonesia and Singapore region. KR’s seminar provided the latest and most up-to-date information on Ballast water management systems and the 2020 Global Sulphur Cap for the industry attendees.
The specific topics covered included an Update on KR Activities, Recent issues from BWMS Retrofitting and the 2020 Sulphur Cap - actual preparation and effects, and the MEPC73.
The seminars were held for PT. PERTAMINA International Shipping, PT. PERTAMINA Shipping, PT. JAYA SAMUDRA KARUNIA SHIPPING (JSK), SECOM & PSC, and Pt. Samudera Indonesia Shipmanagement in Jarkarta, Indonesia.

[Statutory System Certification Team] ISM/ISPS/MLC Technical seminar
The KR Statutory System Certification Team held the 29th ISM/ISPS/MLC technical seminar on 28 Nov in Busan, Korea. More than 110 people attended, receiving information on the latest updates and applications for upcoming 2019 international conventions, the ISM Code applications for Cyber Risk Management, updates on OCIMF and applications for ISO 45001.
The seminar offered an excellent opportunity to listen to KR’s clients while broadening our mutual understanding.
[KR Qingdao Office] Technical seminar for regional shipping companies
KR Qingdao office held a technical seminar for regional shipping companies from 4 - 6 Dec.
The topics covered included updates on MEPC and SEEMP PART II, important technical information and current market trends relating to SOx scrubbers and low sulphur fuel oil.
