KR held technical seminars in Turkey and Greece on 30th Oct and 1st Nov respectively. On 1st Nov, KR also held its Hellenic Committee meeting in Athens.

Fifty representatives from across the Turkish maritime industry attended KR’s technical seminar in the country, while 100 representatives from across the Hellenic maritime industry participated in KR’s technical seminar held in Athens.

The seminar discussions covered; trends in BWMS, a new bulk carrier design developed by KR, real examples of maritime cyber security issues, an update on SOx regulations including the result and implications of the MEPC 73th meeting.

On 1st Nov, KR held its Hellenic Committee meeting, which 60 members from Greece and neighbouring countries joined, and discussed recent maritime issues, the current status of global maritime industry and its outlook.

After the committee, 350 people attended KR’s popular Hellas Night, KR was pleased to welcome Soosuk LIM, Ambassador of Republic of Korea to the Hellenic Republic to the evening alongside many highly valued representatives from the Greek maritime industry.

Mr. Jeongkie Lee, CEO and Chairman of KR, said, that the maritime industry is facing many challenges as a result of the strengthened environmental regulations and uncertain business forecasts.
