On 17 Sep, a delegation from the Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN) led by Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Sim Seung-seob visited to KR to discuss the future cooperation between the two organisations.
Using experience gained from commercial vessels, KR’s naval business has been growing fast since the foundation the naval business unit in the mid-2000s. Since 2013, revenue from KR’s naval business has increased more than doubled. And this is not just the Republic of Korean Navy, KR now offers a variety of class services to the Peruvian Navy, the Indonesian Navy and the Royal Thai Navy.
During the visit, Admiral Sim expressed his gratitude to KR for its excellent technical services provided to all types of battle ships, which enhances their battle performance. And he requested that KR should play a more active role as a technical body for ROKN.
Lee Jeong-kie, CEO and Chairman of KR, said that KR welcomes the win-win situation with ROKN and is pleased to continue to provide second-to-none technical services.
