Each month, KR delivers a range of bespoke practical client seminars which focus on current maritime issues whilst also addressing each client’s specific needs.    

This month, KR provided the following seminars for our clients around the world.

 [London Office] Technical seminar for Intercargo

The KR London office held a technical seminar for members of INTERCARGO (International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners) on 31st August in London.

 
The topic was: “New features of bulk carrier design - towards improved fuel efficiency and enhanced environmental footprint” and was given to 20 members of the association . The seminar offered an excellent opportunity to listen to the voices of the industry and our clients while broadening mutual understanding.

 [Ningbo Office] Technical seminar for shipping companies and MSA in XIAMEN, China      

Seven PSC officers and renowned shipping companies including XinQuiHui International Shipping, XinFeng Shipping and Amoy Sailing Maritime participated in the seminar.

The core topics included KR’s PSC detention prevention activities, current trends on PSC detentions and implications on SOx Scrubbers for shipping companies.

The seminar was very practical and constructive as various issues on Port State Control and current maritime trends were discussed. The friendship between KR and the Chinese maritime industry was greatly enhanced thanks to the seminar.

 
 [Guangzhou Office]

KR Guangzhou office and China KR TST (Technical Support Team) successfully held a technical seminar for Guangzhou MSA (Maritime Safety Administration ) and Dia Yuan International Shipping Co., Ltd on 29th August.

The seminar provided guidance for Sox Scrubber and PSC deficiencies and countermeasures

Many Guangzhou MSA PSC officers along with managers and superintendents of the shipping companies participated and exchanged lively views on the topics under discussion.
