            (Rules and Guidance for Part 1)

1. Please be informed that the partial amendments have been made to the “Rules for the

    Classification of Steel Ships and Guidance Relating to the Rules for the Classification of Steel

    Ships, Pt.1, as below and you are kindly requested to apply the amendments to the relevant

    works.
2. Furthermore, please be informed that the amendments will be included in 2018 edition for

    Guidance and 2019 edition for Rule on KR Classification Technical Rules which will be

    published in the first half of 2018 and 2019 respectively.

1) To add the requirement of suspension or withdrawal only for the optional notations and to

    modify the plans to be submitted for classification survey after construction and TOC
