KR hosted the 28th ISM/ISPS/MLC seminar at its Busan HQ, to enhance the quality of management relevant to maritime safety, security and labor environment as well as to exchange the latest information on key topics.

The seminar was attended by approximately 130 participants including executives of shipping companies and operational staff working in safety, security and crewing. Under the heading of the “Prevention of marine incidents and efficient countermeasures”, KR provided information to help strengthen competitiveness and implement efficient safety management in shipping companies, specifically discussing “Global Trends of ISM/ISPS/MLC”, “Amendments to International Conventions 2018” and “Maritime Cyber Security”.

To help prevent marine incidents, participants from the shipping companies suggested ideas and shared best practice information. SK Shipping gave a presentation on “Establishing and Operating with Safety Golden Rules” while G-Marine Services Co., Ltd. shared best practice on establishing a strong ship safety culture and building “Behavior Based Safety”, which created a good forum to discuss ways to enhance safety management.
