KR hosted three events in the heart of world shipping, Athens Greece. KR held its annual “KR Technical Seminar 2017”, and the“12th KR HELLENIC COMMITTEE” and
“KR Hellas Night 2017” from 5 to 6 September 2017.
On 5 September, the KR Technical Seminar covered such subjects as Regulatory Up date, Global Sulphur Cap, Fuel Quality & ISO 8217:2017 and Prediction of ship’s speed in seaways, which drew much attention from the stakeholders of the major companies attending. The meeting representatives were enthusiastic in their discussion and information exchange in the Q&A session after the seminar.

On the next day, KR held the KR Hellenic Committee and KR Hellas Night. Despite
the prolonged downturn in global shipping and the Greek economy, the principal representatives from the local maritime community took part in the events.
The 12th KR Hellenic Committee covered updates on KR’s activities, KR’s latest technical developments, a regulatory update, market outlook and included a session
for feedback on KR’s services from the committee chairman and members.
The Committee invited Mr. John N. Cotzias, President of Hellenic Shipbrokers Association to speak at the meeting, he provided insights on the global shipping
market and its current outlook.

Approximately 300 people attended KR’s Hellas Night which was held after the committee meeting. Major representatives from across the Greek shipping industry attended, alongside Mr. An Young-jip, Korean Ambassador to Greece and many stakeholders from the maritime community.

Following the Greek meetings, the KR delegation visited Istanbul, Turkey to promote KR’s services in Turkish markets by hosting a Turkey Technical Seminar on 8 September and hosting a luncheon meeting with members of KR’s Turkey Committee. The meetings are part of KR’s ongoing commitment to providing best quality services
to its clients around the world.
