Xiamen, Fujian, China
Representatives from KR’s Ningbo office visited three shipping and ship management companies in Xiamen, Fujian, China to meet Chinese clients and deliver a marketing class after construction on 6 and 7 April.
Xiamen Xin Qi Hui International Ship Management (Director Mr. Chen Chao Hui, Executive of Xiamen Shipowners’ Association) first established ties with KR in 2015 and both parties maintain a collaborative relationship. The company expressed satisfaction with KR’s technical
advice regarding the process of ship purchasing and registering.

KR also visited Xiamen Xinfeng Shipping and Xiamen Portmarine Shipping, which are both members of the Xiamen Shipowners’ Association.
KR shared a great deal of information with the shipping companies and providing briefings on KR, and an introduction to and demonstration of KR-CON. Xiamen Portmarine Shipping is a national shipping company from China, affiliated to Xiamen Port and it currently operates domestic containerships.

KR will continue to meet with potential customers in China and will promote its technology of excellence and quality services to them, to establish and build future cooperative relationships.
Hochiminh, Vietnam
KR’s Hochiminh office has visited major shipping companies in Vietnam, to build positive customer relationships. KR provided details of KR’s recent activities and technological developments and asked for their feedback on its services.
On 28 April, KR visited Nhat Viet Transportation Corporation, a shipowning and ship management company and listened to their concerns. They expressed satisfaction with KR’s technical services and made some requests for information moving forward.

KR also made a courtesy call to an oil tanker company, Prime Shipping Corporation. The company requested further technical assistance from KR and discussed its expectation that KR will grow as one of the most competitive classification societies in the South Eastern Asia market.
